I am not sure I understand your question. If you want to go to Vegas... You most certainly can go. If you don't want to meet, you do not have to! I will make notes of the meeting available (most likely through the scooperspics site) This meeting is just to get things off the ground...

i wish i could make it to vegas ,what a great place,make sure to check out freemont street.anyway i'm preparing everyone i know not to look for me next year because i'll be in vegas .just do me a favor and don't pick someplace else next year.i have some unfinished business with a certain slot machine in circus circus!!!!!!!

Hi,
Well I took Florence's advice and contacted her State Farm agent and am I ever happy that I did! I saved $450 on my liability coverage. I can sure put the money I saved into some advertising. The agents name again is Jay Wages and his toll free phone is 866-265-5405. I urge any California scoopers to contact him. You scoopers in other states might try contacting your local State Farm agent and see if they can come up with something similar. A big thank you to Florence for sharing this info that is so helpful.

Hi,
Premiums will be $150 per year with liability of 1 Million , it also has a no work benefit that pays me if I am unable to work (12 months). Will know all the other details when I get the policy. I was mostly concerned with the liability coverage.

Hi PSK,
I would contact your local State Farm agent and see what they can come up with. I was quite surprised because I was told that California was the most expensive state as far as insurance coverage goes. I am going to save $450 next year and I can sure put that to use in other areas of my small business. Happy Holidays!

Well, I was pleasantly surprised with my reception today. I had clients that owed for 3 months, pay in full (even late fees). I had a dog biscuit ornament, 3 bottles of wine, coffee coupons and chocolates given to me today. It made me feel appreciated.

Pet Waste Removal vs. Pooper-scooper!

I have recently changed my fliers. I find that many people read 'Pet Waste Removal' and still have no clue as to what I do. Now they read 'Professional Pooper-Scooper'. Has anyone else found this to be the case. I am getting calls also, for pet supplies, collecting abandoned cats, and cleaning houses for fleas? I am trying to sound professional without stating bluntly that I clean poop.
Any suggestions?

Although I have not been mistaken for a pet supplier, or a cat rescuer nor a flea exterminator (yet), I have always seen the need to call myself a professional pooper scooper. The name of my business is followed by "Animal Waste Disposal Service" but in all of my ads I put "Professional Pooper-Scooper service". My voice mail also says, "If you've got the poop, we've got the scoop" I am sincerely hoping that the Organization will change that. If we can get enough exposure, the term Pet Waste Removal will be commonplace... here's to hoping

My name is Doggie Maid Pet Waste Removal Service and I have no problem--that is the main reason I chose Doggie to be in my name. My clients like the professional sound of my business, but of course reaffirm my intentions by stating; "You're a pooper-scooper, right?" My slogan is: "We clean up what your pooch leaves behind!" I personally like the Pet Waste Removal thing. I am tempted to get personalized plates that say DO DOO or We DO DOO! Maybe later...:)

I like that! I don't know why, but sometimes I want to have the poop/doo thing, but at other times I don't. Your "I scoop" idea is very good. Our limit is seven spaces in Iowa, so that would fit. You should have heard the chuckling when I called the Dept. of Transportaion here to see what names were taken...they thought I was pulling some prank when I asked "Is DOO taken?" They replied "Yes". "Ok", I said, "how about Do Doo?" "No" she said. "How about Wedodoo?" She hesitated and asked me if this was some kind of a joke and that they had regulations on appropriateness and such. When I told her about my business, she was laughing her head off and yelling back to the other office workers about it! Thanks for the idea! Shari

The subject is reguarding another company that wants to send a lawyer after me.
They been in business a few months, and decided to use something of yuckos, and tried to say it theirs.
So they send a letter, from a lawyer...
It stupid, it's even different and was us by yuckos long time before they started business.
They know who they are,,,
I'm sure they stop in at our message board.
So it makes you wonder about helping others...
Like I said things are in G-ds hands,
When things are cleared up I'll tell you the rest of the story and you'll see how stupid it was.

This is my first winter in the business...and I am amazed at how many clients remember the scooper! Everything from cards with bonuses to gift certificates to homemade jam! I am really overwhelmed by the gratitude people have...THIS BUSINESS ROCKS! A special thanks to Matthew, without his book and message board, I would not have been able to put this company together!
